Hometowns: Bachelorette Season 17, Episode 9

Hell is freezing over y’all becuase I agreed with Greg this episode 🥴. More on this later, but what I will say is I am someone who needs my feelings validated. I know my feelings aren’t facts and I’ve gotten pretty good at talking myself down from a ledge (unlink Greg, but it’s a skill that comes with time and a lot of therapy). But if I take time out of MY overthinking anxious spiral to tell someone how I really feel, especially if those feelings are love/love adjacent, you BETTA GIVE ME SOMETHING TO WORK WITH!!

The Men Told Some: Bachelorette Season 17, Episode 8

Well, we made it to hometowns y’all! Oh wait, no we didn’t, we just thought we were getting a hometowns episode, but really we got two hours of men bickering about nothing, some bloopers and of course, our hearts ripped out of our chests as we said goodbye to Michael A.

Love is Not Enough: Bachelorette Season 17, Episode 7

I cannot believe this season went by so quickly! In yet, I feel like not much has happened. It’s been so clear from the beginning that Greg and Katie have a strong connection, and while them sharing the story about their dad’s helps us understand why their connection may be stronger than the ones she has with other men, I feel like we haven’t seen any more of their love story.

Even Katie’s time with Blake leaves a bit to be desired. The editing of their date a few weeks ago let us know that they covered a lot of topics and Blake’s mini one on one with Katie last week showed us his romantic and caring side, but when it comes to a genuine, deep connection, I can’t quite see it for Katie.

We know very little about these men and we know very little about Katie’s relationship with these men. I’m not sure that Katie’s fault, it may just be bad editing. At this point, we knew SO much about Claire/Tayshia’s men and even Matt’s women. So I’m really disappointed that we’re basically at the end and as a viewer I have a lot of confusion and am left wondering ‘how did we get here?’

Operation WOWO: Bachelorette Season 17, Episode 6

The Bachelor Nation marketing team went overboard teasing this episode. They hooked me by saying five people were going home. I saw that and thought it meant that 1-2 were leaving after the rose ceremony and the others would happen throughout the episode. Unfortunately, it wasn’t that juicy and all the exits were pretty much expected.

For three weeks now we’ve started the episode with one of the guys saying “so glad that the drama is out of the house,” but it’s never been true. After the way this episode ended, it actually seems like everyone left is really into Katie and there ‘for the right reasons.’ You know what that means? Hot mess heart break is coming in hot in the upcoming weeks, I can’t wait!
