The Men Told Some: Bachelorette Season 17, Episode 8

Well, we made it to hometowns y’all! Oh wait, no we didn’t, we just thought we were getting a hometowns episode, but really we got two hours of men bickering about nothing, some bloopers and of course, our hearts ripped out of our chests as we said goodbye to Michael A.

Operation WOWO: Bachelorette Season 17, Episode 6

The Bachelor Nation marketing team went overboard teasing this episode. They hooked me by saying five people were going home. I saw that and thought it meant that 1-2 were leaving after the rose ceremony and the others would happen throughout the episode. Unfortunately, it wasn’t that juicy and all the exits were pretty much expected.

For three weeks now we’ve started the episode with one of the guys saying “so glad that the drama is out of the house,” but it’s never been true. After the way this episode ended, it actually seems like everyone left is really into Katie and there ‘for the right reasons.’ You know what that means? Worried About the Wrong Things: Bachelorette Season 17, Episode 5

The theme of this week, and really the entire premise of this show is time. Time is the ultimate luxury for all of us. It’s the one thing money can’t buy and also the only thing we cannot get back after we’ve used it. Don’t Be A Buzz Killington: Bachelorette Season 17, Episode 4

Another Monday, another prolonged accusation of men accusing other men of being on a television show for fame rather than love. If it wasn’t clear where I stand on these types of accusations, let me make it clear: I don’t care why these men (or women) are on this show. I personally tune in every Monday for drama and mess. I love mess and this episode, was messy. I loved it.

I also believe that a majority of contestants who go on any reality show, even one purported to be about finding love, are actually probably going to gain some kind of fame. Whether it’s more Instagram followers, free marketing of a their business, or service they offer, most contestants are not quitting their jobs just to have a one in 30 chance of falling in love and getting engaged/married. Especially when this franchise doesn’t even have that good of a track record when it comes to that sort of thing.

So, given my opinion on that, you probably already know know where I stand on this whole Thomas situation: to me, it’s blown out of proportion. But let’s get into the episode, I’ll unpack that later.
